Power to the people
I am a strong believer in long-term, steadfast relationships. In a global economy, one can achieve full potential through cooperation and excellent partnerships with different players on the market. A beautiful example is the Austrian – Romanian bilateral connection, once again proven during our Austria – Romania Roundtable 2011, which took place at the J.W. Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel recently.
Tradition and innovation shook hands in a dynamic event, where the main message was that the crisis is long gone, but what people need to understand is the fact that all markets have changed, shifting the values they are based on. Adapting to the new environment might prove difficult, but with friends such as Austria, we have the opportunity to not only adjust to a new picture, but share more big projects and further develop this relationship.
Another vital aspect is the growing importance shown to people. We usually say “Money makes the world go round,” but finally the accent falls on those who make the businesses successful and thus attain the expected turnover and profit levels. It took a recession for people to understand that it’s in their power to make a difference... A lesson learned and hopefully never to be forgotten. Education, ambition, desire to succeed, in one word EXCELLENCE is what we need and must retain in ourselves and close to us.
