FINANCIAL LEADERS' HALL OF FAME 2019

4400 afisari
As we come to the end of a year dominated by legislative unpredictability and political instability, Romania's banking and financial sector looks back proudly on its success stories. In this context, Business Arena continues to salute and recognize the efforts and achievements of successful companies, banks, entrepreneurs and investors.
Dubbed the engine that drives the economy, banks and the financial sector were the first to come into focus, as Business Arena held its annual Financial Leaders’ Hall of Fame awards gala, in the presence of more than 100 banking and financial leaders, professionals and diplomats.
Operating in a highly competitive environment, banks and financial institutions have made outstanding progress in introducing new and innovative products and cutting-edge technologies in order to adapt their business model to the requirements of the new millennium.
However, the business environment hasn't always offered the best conditions for development. Moreover, the economy is expected to slow down in the short run, according to a report released at the beginning of the fourth quarter by Banca Transilvania experts, who noted that the main risks to Romania's economic growth were related to the global and European macro-financial climate, with impact for the capital flows directed to the emerging markets, the economic policy mix and the public tensions in the country as well as the regional geopolitical climate. Several policy mix uncertainties such as the discontinuity of reforms, the fragile stance of the public finance and the increase of state intervention in the economy were balanced by the excess liquidity. In addition, inflationary pressures will remain high in the short run, given the labor market tensions and the depreciation of the leu, they added.
